Washington Tennis and Fitness

A Washington tennis and fitness club or similar program is where tennis players turn to stay in good physical condition. As any player will be able to confirm, tennis is one sport where an individual can expect an all over workout. Having a stellar game is highly dependent on being in good physical condition. Not only is there aerobic activity involved, muscular strength and flexibility is required as well. A tennis player who lacks in any of these areas is more prone to injuries, aches and pains. An exercise regimen that focuses on building endurance and the right muscle groups can provide a great support system for a players’ game.

Fit and Fab

Taking on a professional tennis coach is one of the first things people do when they decide to get serious about developing their abilities. There is no doubt a pro coach will impart an invaluable amount of knowledge on a student; however, a major foundational ingredient of training will be a well developed exercise plan. Players would be wise to join a Washington tennis and fitness program to get in the best shape possible. For younger players, a Washington tennis and fitness camp can be just the thing to get a junior player on the right track.

Well Rounded Regimens

A good number of Washington tennis and fitness programs provide facilities that help players become more involved in the game as well as in their own physical fitness. Tennis fitness programs are often focused on activities that combine elements of physical activity with mental acuity. For example, players may be required to start their workout with shuttle sprints across a court. After a good aerobic episode, they will then move to exercises such as pushups to build the chest, arms and back. Weight training is always good for large muscle groups but will also likely include exercises to build strength in the wrists and ankles. Last but not least, exercises to improve flexibility will be included as well.

A quality Washington tennis and fitness regimen will also consist of activities that promote hand-eye speed. Exercises such as ball drops require one to snatch a falling ball out of the air before it hits the ground. When all these exercises are done on a regular basis, a player will eventually begin to notice the positive results of his or her efforts. This can help build just the confidence one needs to keep advancing to all new levels.
